For the month of October, art teachers of The Runnels School are taking over our gallery space for an inclusive exhibition. Painters, Print-makers, Sculptors, Graphic Designers, Photographers: the Runnels Art Faculty has been home to a broad spectrum of extraordinary artists over the last Twenty plus years.
This exhibition features work from these faculty members past and present and is a celebration of these ten artists and their achievements. These dedicated individuals have been the educational and encouraging force enriching the lives of kindergartners, elementary students, and high school students, all the way through their senior year of school. All the while these teachers have been producing their own original work, developing their artistic voice, and raising families of their own.
This exhibition is made possible by the supportive community and staff at the Runnels School, a community that appreciates the arts and its positive influence in the lives of its students. The exhibition will be housed in the Firehouse Gallery from October 2-28th. A reception will take place on Friday, October 13th from 6pm to 8pm. Both the exhibition and reception are free and open to the public.
Additionally, the exhibition will close with an also free and public Costume Party on Saturday, October 28th from 6pm to 8pm. Guests are encouraged but not required to partake in wearing a costume.
