This isn’t your neighborhood 5K. You get to finish in style and receive an official 5K Medal from The Louisiana Marathon. If you are hoping to participate in The Louisiana Marathon festivities, but you are looking for something a little less than 26.2 or 13.1 miles, then this is it!
Sprinters, joggers and walkers can all participate in this event. Strollers and Baby Joggers are allowed but are asked to remain at the back of the group for safety purposes.
Runners who finish the Louisiana Quarter Marathon or 5K on Saturday and finish the Louisiana Marathon or Half Marathon on Sunday receive the coveted Déjà Vu Award.
To some it’s just a seafood tray — a.k.a. a crawfish tray — common in many Louisiana seafood restaurants and home boils. This one, however, isn’t only ideal for serving up great Louisiana Seafood like boiled crawfish, crabs and shrimp, but it’s also a trophy that few earn. It’s a symbol of dedication and preparation – #GeauxStrong.
