IBM BUILDING OPENING

The IBM building downtown at the corner of Lafayette and North streets has officially opened and now hosts IBM's Client Innovation Center in Baton Rouge. The nine-story building is the newest addition to the Baton Rouge skyline with more than 200 employees currently working in the building, and an additional 600 employees expected by 2016. The building will also house the Baton Rouge Area Foundation and the Commercial Properties Realty Trust in it's top floors, with an expected occupancy in November.

The building is the centerpiece of a public-private development that will include 525 Main, a 10-story development with 85 luxury apartments. 525 Main is set to open by October of this year.
