MARDI GRAS DOWNTOWN 2019: CAAWS MYSTIC KREWE OF MUTTS PARADE
CAAWS Mystic Krewe of Mutts

February 16, 2025 - 10:00 am - 4 pm


The CAAWS Mystic Krewe of Mutts Parade is CAAWS’ largest annual fundraiser with all proceeds benefiting the CAAWS Spay/Neuter program, which allows us to fix hundreds of cats and dogs in the Baton Rouge community. By spaying and neutering, they are helping keep the pet population down, which decreases euthanization numbers. Website

MARDI GRAS DOWNTOWN 2019: KREWE OF ARTEMIS

Founded in 2001 with the mission of focusing on a family style Mardi Gras event that could be enjoyed by people of all ages. The Krewe features a full length night parade in downtown Baton Rouge. The annual parade is held two Fridays before Mardi Gras day. Website

La Krewe Mystique de la Capitale’s parade is one of the longest-running parades in the city. Its mission is to bring Mardi Gras to Baton Rouge featuring beautiful and elaborate floats in the parade. Website

MARDI GRAS DOWNTOWN 2019: KREWE OF ORION
Krewe of Orion



With its expanse of bright stars, Orion, the mythological hunter of the skies, is an apt representation of diversity in the carnival krewe that bears his name. The Krewe of Orion was founded in 1998 by two young men who had a love for the spirit of Mardi Gras and a desire to bring that spirit and tradition to Baton Rouge. Website
