CAPITOL AREA
The Capitol Area neighborhood is north of Historic Spanish Town, the Louisiana state office buildings, and Capitol Park. The neighborhood offers stunning views of the Louisiana State Capitol, the Mississippi Riverfront, and the Capitol Lakes. The Capitol Area includes several multi-family apartment units and condominiums including Lake Tower Apartments and River Palms. It also includes several single-family homes east of the Capitol Lakes, including the Louisiana Governor’s Mansion.
Capitol Area residents can access all downtown amenities and employment centers conveniently. Several bicycle and pedestrian opportunities are also part of or close to the neighborhood including the Capitol Lakes paths, Mississippi River Levee Trail, and Florida Riverfront Access Point.
