2021 Cortana Kiwanis Christmas Parade
Cortana Kiwanis Club and the Kiwanis Club of Cortana Baton Rouge Foundation, Inc announced that the 2021 Cortana Kiwanis Christmas Parade, will roll as scheduled through Downtown Baton Rouge on December 11, 2021. The City of Baton Rouge recently issued the permit to resume the annual Christmas holiday tradition, which was canceled last year due to public health concerns related to the coronavirus pandemic.
Cortana Kiwanis now urgently invites sponsors, marching bands, charities, and other organizations to claim their spot in the parade. The deadline to register is November 10, 2021. Heather Folks-Givens, the parade’s chair shared, “We hope that companies and organizations will take advantage of this great opportunity to reconnect with the people of Baton Rouge at both the live event and the televised program.
Every year, more than 80,000 people watch the parade live and thousands more enjoy it on television through the holiday season. The Parade is a celebration and a great way to connect with the community. The parade is open to everyone. Typically the parade includes about 80 entries. These entries are a mix of marching bands, celebrities, dance troupes, non-profit organizations, and local businesses in seasonal themes.
