Art After Hours: Movement & Memory with Mike Weary
The Louisiana Art & Science Museum celebrates Black History Month with Art After Hours: Movement & Memory with Mike Weary, an evening of art, dialogue, and performance exploring lived experience, cultural memory, and creative expression.
Art After Hours: Movement & Memory expands on LASM’s newest exhibition, The Rise of the House of Weary, featuring Baton Rouge artist Mike Weary. The evening’s programming includes a panel discussion with women artists, remarks by Weary, an interpretive dance performance by students from the College of Humanities and Interdisciplinary Studies, and a pop-up fashion display by Southern University FAB Lab students—bringing visual art, movement, and storytelling together in an immersive, multidisciplinary experience.
