After a 2 year pause due to pandemic restrictions, George Bell and Friends return to the Manship Theatre with another much anticipated performance of “An Evening of Holiday Jazz.” Having produced over 20 successful Manship Theatre performances since 2011, George is excited to present his 9th Annual Holiday Jazz performance. As in previous years, trumpeter, bandleader and producer George Bell has brought together an all-star line-up of musicians for this special performance. This year George is joined by GB & Friends veterans Herman Jackson, drums; Harry Anderson, bass; Andy Bourgeois, piano and keyboards: Ray Mouton, guitar; Greg Ward, percussion and harmonica; Betsy Braud, saxophone and flute; Hilda Trenise Gautier, harp; as well as a few other surprises.

George is especially delighted to have Quiana Lynell, winner of the 2017 Sarah Vaughn International Jazz Vocalist Contest, return this year. Quiana’s emotionally moving performance on “O Holy Night,” accompanied by Trenise Gautier on harp, showcased her classically trained, four octave range, and created one of the most memorable musical moments of the entire evening.

Please join us for what promises to be an unforgettable musical experience.
