Ghost Stories in the Galleries: A Night of Creative Writing and Sketching (ages 16+)

Step into the galleries after dark for an evening of spooky storytelling inspired by the artworks on view. Let the artworks guide you as you dream up ghostly tales and eerie sketches inspired by what you see. Using our prompt sheet, you’ll build a story piece by piece — following your ghost as it moves through the museum.

We’ll provide writing and sketching supplies, along with prompts to spark your creativity. Costumes are welcome, but must follow museum guidelines:

Not allowed:

Wings and tails / protruding accessories

Masks or headwear that limit visibility

Prop weapons

Hard props or accessories

Organic materials (flowers, feathers, etc.)

We reserve the right to restrict costumes and accessories deemed inappropriate or disruptive to other visitors.
