Huey P. Long’s Birthday Celebration at The Tunnel

On Friday, August 30, 2024, from 5:30 to 10:30 p.m., The Tunnel invites all to a one-of-a-kind celebration in honor of Huey P. Long’s birthday. Dating back to the late 1920s, The Tunnel played a crucial role in Huey P. Long’s political life, serving as a secret passage between the Heidelberg Hotel and the King Hotel. Huey often used The Tunnel for quick escapes during his time as Governor, and it is rumored that it also provided a discreet connection to his personal life.

Prepare to be surprised and delighted with a special appearance from Huey himself! Enjoy some cake with him while sipping on one of his favorite cocktails. To toast the occasion, The Tunnel will be serving a specialty cocktail, Huey’s Favorite, inspired by Huey himself and guests will receive a free slice of birthday cake. Entry for the birthday celebration is free; however, reservations are still required.
