Krewe of Artemis

There's nothing like the Mardi Gras magic of an evening parade. Founded in 2001, the first and only all-female parading krewe emphasizes a family-style Mardi Gras event for all ages. Featuring New Orleans-style floats; themed throws, including the Krewe of Artemis’ signature high-heeled shoe, footballs, light-up tambourines, stuffed animals, float beads and lighted throws. In addition to River Road, the route includes blocks of Convention, Laurel, Sixth, Ninth, Main, Fourth and Third streets.
