LOUISIANA MARATHON WEEKEND
The Louisiana Marathon offers a variety of running events over the weekend of January 13-14, 2024. The main event is the Full Marathon, which is a USAT&F Certified course and an official Boston Qualifier route. The course is known for its fast, flat, and runner-friendly path through lakes, along the river, around downtown, on the university campus, and in historic neighborhoods. The Full Marathon starts at 7:00am CST on Sunday and must be completed in 6 hours at a pace of 13:45/mile. The registration fee is $155.00, increasing to $170.00 after January 8, 2024.
The Half Marathon follows the same course as the Full Marathon, with a scenic finish towards the iconic state capital. It starts at 7:00am CST on Sunday, with a completion time of 4 hours at an 18:20/mile pace. The registration fee is $145.00, increasing to $160.00 after January 8, 2024.
The Louisiana Quarter Marathon is a 10K race on Saturday, January 13, 2024, starting at 8:00am CST and must be completed in 2 hours and 15 minutes at a pace of 20:30/mile. The registration fee is $65.00, increasing to $70.00 after January 8, 2024.
The Louisiana Marathon 5K is a race suitable for all levels of runners, taking place on Saturday, January 13, 2024, starting at 8:00am CST. It must be completed in 2 hours and 15 minutes at a pace of 43:30/mile. The registration fee is $40.00, increasing to $45.00 after January 8, 2024.
For families, there is the Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana Kids Marathon, a 1-mile race open to ages 2-12, on Saturday, January 13, 2024, from 10:15am to 10:45am CST. The registration fee is $25.00.
There is also the Birth Center of Baton Rouge Diaper Dash on Saturday, January 13, 2024, at 2:00pm CST, a fun event for babies aged 2 and under, with a registration fee of $10.00.
Additionally, there is the Beach-2-Bayou Challenge, a race bundle that includes events from the Mississippi Gulf Coast Marathon and The Louisiana Marathon. Participants can choose from various races in both locations on different dates.
