Mystic Krewe of Mutts

The Baton Rouge community's canines are the stars of the entire day, with several events happening well before parade time. There's Bark in the Park from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.(includes local pet vendors), the Baton Rouge Police Department K-9 demonstration at 11 a.m., and the dog costume contest at noon, all at Galvez Plaza. An After Pawty from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. caps off the afternoon. Spectators are in for a treat as dog owners dress their pets as everything from a hot dog to Harry Potter.
