Spanish Town Walking Tour with Robert Freeland
Join Robert Freeland for our walking tour of the historic Spanish Town neighborhood.
Founded by Spanish Canary Island settlers in 1805, Spanish Town is Baton Rouge’s oldest neighborhood. The tour explores the 1779 Battle of Baton Rouge and Spanish Louisiana’s role in the American Revolution. See historic architecture from the 1830s to the 1930s, learn about Louisiana’s role in national history, and discover the events that shaped the neighborhood.
This walking tour is part of a series of events unveiling the American Revolution Experience Traveling Exhibit, exploring the global forces and individuals that shaped America's fight for independence.
Event Price: Tickets are FREE for museum members and $20 for nonmembers and include entrance to the museum
