HISTORY
This Baton Rouge Lenten tradition started in 1951 and has grown into a hallmark event the city looks forward to every year. Hundreds of volunteers serve thousands of bowls of delicious gumbo to the city, raising money for church ministries and bringing the greater Baton Rouge community together for food and fellowship.
