3rd Street

Once considered the spine of the city with its bustling businesses, Third Street fell into decline in the 70s and 80s. With concerted effort from the private sector and public planning efforts, it is reemerging as one of the most vibrant streets anywhere. Third Street now features a grocery store, pharmacy, residential developments, arts center, restaurants, medical urgent care facility, hotels, live music venues, bars, offices, a YMCA, and a police storefront space.This walkable street’s southern anchor is North Boulevard Town Square and its northern anchor is the State Capitol Park.
