Schuyler Olson is a recent addition to the Downtown Development District (DDD) team as the Design and Marketing Coordinator. In the role as Design and Marketing Coordinator , Schuyler's duties involve working in partnership with the public and private sectors, collecting marketing data, developing public relations and marketing materials, creating graphic materials depicting projects and programs, developing communications materials, assisting with the coordination of marketing for downtown events, and furthering the vision outlined in various downtown master plan documents.

She earned a Bachelor of Arts in mass communication and a minor in business administration. She enjoys all aspects of digital marketing to impact businesses and organizations. Throughout her time at LSU, she led student-run PR firm and interned with many local non-profits and businesses assisting with social media marketing.

Throughout her previous design and marketing experience, Schuyler has held roles as a social media campaign manager and marketing coordinator, managing multiple social media accounts and email marketing. She also has experience in event coordinating as she hosted three major company events in Denver, Baton Rouge, and New Orleans.

As Design and Marketing Coordinator for the DDD, Schuyler looks forward to being able to implement creativity and try new marketing strategies to impact Downtown Baton Rouge.
