Dreamland at the Old State Capitol

Join us for a free family event!

Louisiana’s Old State Capitol will host “Dreamland at the Old State Capitol” a free event on Sunday, September 12, from 1 to 4 p.m. Bring the family out for a fun-filled afternoon!

Outside we'll have the following:

• Bayou Cirque aerial performers, strong man demonstrations, jugglers & acrobats
• Crafts, stick horse races and other games for children
• Wacky photo ops
• Celebrate the Women's Suffrage movement

Inside we'll have the following:

• View the Coney Island: Visions of an American Dreamland Exhibit
• More performances by Bayou Cirque
• Free showings of Ghost of the Castle
• Models of ferris wheels and roller coasters- explore the science behind these rides

Food and drink will be available for purchase outside the gates
