HALLOWEEN DAY AT THE LASM MUSEUM
Join us on Saturday, October 28th, as we celebrate Halloween Day at the Museum!
The day will consist of hands-on activities from 12 PM – 4 PM, Halloween shows in the Irene W. Pennington Planetarium from 11 AM – 5 PM, a door prize, and a museum-wide scavenger hunt.
The 2022 Fifolet Halloween Parade, beginning at 4 PM, will pass right by the LASM, traveling down River Road in downtown Baton Rouge. Before the parade, visitors can participate in Halloween-themed hands-on activities and enjoy Halloween-themed shows in the Irene W. Pennington Planetarium.
Halloween-themed films in the Irene W. Pennington Planetarium include Mummies: Secrets of the Pharaohs, The Worlds Within Star Wars, and LASM’s Halloween laser show, Fright Light. There will also be a wand-making station for the 3 PM showing of The Astronomical World of Harry Potter, an interactive full dome experience that takes you through the stars and reveals how our favorite characters from the popular Harry Potter series got their names.
Door prize tickets will be given throughout the day to any visitor attending The Astronomical World of Harry Potter. The winner of the door prize will be announced at the start of the show.
Visitors are encouraged to dress in costume. All planetarium shows are included in the price of admission.
