Happy's 5000M & Beer Mile

The Happy’s Running Club (HRC) Happy’s 5000 is back but this year we are teaming up with the Baton Rouge Blues Festival! What better way to celebrate Baton Rouge culture than with music and running! In addition, this year’s race is raising money for Keep Tiger Town Beautiful. These Litter Warriors are dedicated to preserving and enhancing the beauty of Baton Rouge! They keep our streets clean and safe for runners!
The Happy’s 5000 is a family fun event to celebrate running, camaraderie, and Baton Rouge! After the fast 5K, run or watch the highly competitive Beer Mile and festive costume contest! Then, enjoy the Baton Rouge Blues Fest entertainment. Whether you are in town for the Blues Fest or just tuning up for future races, come support this locally loved race and festival!

Prizes: Great prizes for the top ten Male and top ten Female 5K finishers, sponsored by Brooks Running! Overall Male and Female and Masters Male and Female will receive Brooks $100 gift cards to Varsity Sports. Prizes will also be given to the top male and top female beer mile competitive runner and individual and group costume contest in the non-competitive heat.
PACKET PICKUP will be available at Varsity Sports (2055 Perkins Road, Baton Rouge, LA 70808) on Thursday April 3 from 4-6 PM and Friday April 4 from 3-6 PM. There will be specials on Brooks items for those running the race. Race day packet pickup is available.
