Faye Phillips’ latest book, called Historic Magnolia Cemetery, is a joint project with co-author Chip Landry, Chairman of the Magnolia Cemetery Board. They will be on hand Sunday, February 2 beginning at 2 P.M. for a book signing and a talk about the Battle of Baton Rouge. The battle took place during the Civil War in Magnolia Cemetery and resulted in the Yankee occupation of the Old State Capitol. This event is being held in conjunction with our Free First Sunday programming.
